About Wok Wok Malaysian Cuisine
Malaysian hawker food one flight below Chinatown. Our signature is Penang white curry laksa, made from Chef Erik Cheah's family recipe that has stayed unchanged for forty years. Erik trained at Per Se, then came home to cook the food he grew up with: Penang har mee, nasi lemak with sambal prawns, Hainanese chicken rice, char kway teow and wok-fired noodles. Walk-ins only, no reservations. Open daily from 11am at 11 Mott St. Dine in, pickup, delivery or catering.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Just tried this place out as so many ppl were raving about it!! It's ok!! Food was flavorful!! Portions were very small, I had to order 4 dishes to get full! Wheww!! A bit on the pricey side & don't even get me started with service!! You have to flag someone down, anytime you want something!! You order from the QR Code on your table so you can't even ask questions!! What has dining turning into?? I had to wait about 15 mins just to get my check!! So according to them, tips are calculated after taxes not before!! On the upside, they take credit cards & my chicken bones were all deboned & the entrance ambiance was nice!! Waitress was only nice when I left them a good tip in the end!! Sigh

First time at Wok Wok and definitely coming back again!!! The food was very authentic and nowadays it's very difficult to find good Malaysian food. We ordered their roti, chicken satay, fried shrimp rolls, Nasi Lemak beef, sweet sour pineapple chicken, and their rainbow ice. Everything was delicious, fresh and authentic. The staff were all amazing, kind, friendly and attentive especially YZ that rung us up. She came over to check on us and was always so nice. We will definitely be back.

One of the best Malaysian meals I've had outside of Malaysia. It truly was quite authentic. The chicken satay was delicious and nicely charred, the hookien mee, beef rendang was also delicious. My son had the nasi lemak and while he liked it, he didn't like the fried chicken wings. They had plenty of drink options and I personally loved my order of grass jelly and lychee drink. Overall a great experience. The service was also excellent. Look forward to coming back if I ever get to New York again.

First time coming to Wok Wok was amazing. I came on a Saturday evening, there was a wait but the hostess said 15 minutes. We waited and got our table. The service was so quick and friendly. We ordered appetizers and the uncle who brought it out was soo nice and making small talk which was super funny. Overall experience was great and will be coming back here just to eat that rotiπ

I recently tried Wok Wok Southeast Asian Kitchen in Chinatown and itβs such a solid spot when youβre craving bold, comforting flavors. The menu pulls from Malaysian, Thai, and Singaporean street food, so thereβs a lot of variety, and everything feels super shareable. Personally, I loved how flavorful everything was; especially the roti and satay. The whole vibe is lowkey and cozy, perfect for a casual dinner with friends. Service was quick and friendly, and the portions were generous for the price. Itβs not super fancy, but it hits when you want something satisfying and packed with flavor.
